I want to love this board.

When the Sprocket arrived at my door, I was impressed by her lightweight structure and unique tail shape. As a decently long skim board, the Sprocket doesn't have any trouble supporting my weight, but that's where the good news ends. She just won't hold my hand.

I've been riding this board for a couple weeks now and still have difficulty finding the sweet spot (note: I've been riding it as a single fin). The rocker isn't intensely noticeable (which I don't mind given my riding style), and she isn't dissimilar to my favorite board Charlie. Of course, unlike Charlie, the Sprocket brings all the elements of skim surfing to the table: she's thinner, faster, less stable, and drops into the wave like a rocket. I can tell she has the potential to be a fun ride, but as of now I still find myself really having to fight her to stay on top of the water. However, Emma G faced the same problem during her first few weeks on the Phase Five Leeo, which later became her favorite board. Maybe time will tell with the Sprocket. As of now, I'm still on the search for a replacement for Charlie -- the poor guy's getting worn out.

A final note: Ronix recommends this board for advanced and expert-level surfers.
